Solebury School Prom Portrait Outside in the Garden at Washington Crossing Inn

Here is one of my favorites from last night’s prom shoot for  Solebury School at the Washington Crossing Inn at Washington Crossing, Pennsylvania. I’ll post a full link once I finish editing the pix. It was very windy, so I had to light it with two strobe from the sides. Couldn’t use a softball of umbrella because of the wind.

Stations of the Cross for Good Friday in Bensalem, Pennsylvania

I had not been back to Our Lady of Fatima since grade school almost 25 years ago. Tonight, I went there to photograph the Stations of the Cross at the church grounds in Bensalem, Pennsylvania. The re-enactment is a very well produced presentation of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ as part of the Easter celebration. Check out some of the images in a slideshow below. Also, be sure to click the full frame option.

The Last Supper Held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Quakertown, Pennsylvania

On Monday evening I photographed the Last Supper. Well, not really. It was a rehearsal for the re-enactment, no…recreation of Michelangelo’s Last Supper that Trinity Lutheran Church has been doing in the church the Thursday before Easter for the last 14 years. It looks really cool.

Oh, and I must admit, I did ask Jesus if he could do something about the abnormal temperature this spring. He’s working on it.

Spring Equinox

Went to photograph a spring equinox presentation at Pebble Hill Church. While driving, I recalled my last experience making pictures at this church. I had a very negative experience that time, and was wary of going there again. It was 1989 and I was on assignment for the Philadelphia Inquirer. We were doing a feature on the church during a musical performance. I was able to make pictures of the performer without incident, but every time I raised my camera to my eye to photograph the audience, I met with resistance. After a few times of this, I was asked not to photograph the audience because the camera may take away their essence. WHAT!? Are you kidding me? No, they were serious. I left.

This time was a bit different. Everyone was very welcoming and it was a much more pleasant experience.
Only thing I couldn’t figure out was, if the woman giving the performance was a psychic, why didn’t she know I was coming?

Defelice Family Portrait Photo Shoot Newtown Pennsylvania Photographer

Met and photographed a lovely couple and their adorable daughter. I met the Defelice family at Tyler State Park in Newtown, Pennsylvania for a photo shoot. While the weather was excruciatingly humid, the baby and the family was cool. This enabled me to make some cute pix in the park. Ashley & Michael’s Wedding Photography Gilbertsville, Pennsylvania

A few years ago I photographed Rebecca & William’s wedding at the Centre Bridge Inn in Solebury, Pennsylvania. I had a great time photographing their wedding and was thrilled when Bill asked me if I would photograph his daughter Ashley and her fiance Michael’s wedding in Gilbertsville, Pennsylvania.
It was a gorgeous day for a wedding in the Pennsylvania countryside. The ceremony was held at New Hanover United Methodist Church in Gilbertsville, Pa. and officiated by Pastor Dave Lewis.

The reception was held at Griffith Hall in Lionville, Pa.Check out the full gallery @ http://cainimages.photoshelter.com/gallery/Ashley-Robert-Gilbertsville-Pa/G0000fJZzN3Dn75E/.

Marie-Helen & Stephane Wedding Photography Newtown, Pennsylvania

I spent the afternoon last Friday photographing Marie-Helen & Stephane’s wedding in historic Newtown, Pennsylvania. The ceremony was performed by Mayor Dennis O’Brien in the borough council chambers. After the ceremony we wandered around Newtown a bit making some pictures of the couple sharing the joy of the blessed event. Both are from Montreal, Canada, so I was a bit hesitant to make pictures in front of the borough council chambers because of the American flag bunting surrounding the building. They didn’t have a problem with it though, Stephane said, because they’d been living here for 10 year and appreciated the visual. After the burough, we stopped by a little league baseball field in town with…more American Flag bunting. There the couple had a laugh and some champagne to celebrate. Then off to a weekend honeymoon in New York City, New York.

Congrats!! And all the best to the happy couple.
